A man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed knifed outside a Midland pub.<\/p>\n

The stabbing attack took place outside The Bell Inn in Birmingham<\/a> Road in Coleshill, near Tamworth<\/a> at around 9.45pm on Friday, September 12.<\/p>\n

The victim, in his 20s, suffered serious injuries but was expected to survive.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service<\/a> said: \u201cWe were called to reports of a stabbing on Birmingham Road, Coleshill at 10.08pm on Friday.<\/p>\n

“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire<\/a> and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance critical care car attended the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn arrival, we discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for serious injuries before being taken to hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warwickshire Police said it was investigating and urged witnesses to come forward. The force has also asked for the pub’s premises licence to be reviewed, which could potentially see it closed.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said: \u201cWe\u2019re appealing for witnesses or information after an assault in Coleshill at the weekend. At around 9.45pm on Friday, a man in his 20s was stabbed outside The Bell Inn on Birmingham Road.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n

\u201cA number of enquiries are currently ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who was in the pub and may have witnessed or filmed the offence to please come forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny information can be given by calling 101, quoting incident number 399 of September 12.<\/p>\n

\u201cInformation can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.\u201d<\/p>\n
