Joyce Crooks (78)<\/p>\n

Police have named a woman in her 70s who died in a head-on crash in Co Tyrone as Joyce Crooks from the Cookstown area.<\/p>\n

Ms Crooks (78) was taken to hospital along with four other people following the incident on Monday evening, but sadly passed away.<\/p>\n

Inspector Cherith Adair of the PSNI\u2019s Collision Investigation Unit said: \u201cAt around 7pm, we received a report regarding a two-vehicle head-on collision in the Cookstown Road area.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur officers attended with other emergency partners and provided medical assistance. Five people were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries, however, Joyce Crooks sadly passed away later in hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed the collision or with CCTV or other footage which could assist is asked to contact Collision Investigation Unit Detectives via 101 quoting reference number 1272 of 15\/09\/25.\u201d<\/p>\n
