The injury latest at Hull KR, including an update on absent Joe Burgess.\"HullHull KR coach Willie Peters has provided the injury latest.<\/p>\n

Joe Burgess will miss the final round of the regular Super League season, but head coach Willie Peters insists the flying winger will be fit for the club\u2019s semi-final showdown in October.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old has been sidelined for the past two weeks after pulling out of the Hull derby earlier this month during the captain\u2019s run due to a calf issue.<\/p>\n

Although Burgess had been expected to feature against Wakefield Trinity, he missed the fixture at the DIY Kitchens Stadium and has not been named in Hull KR<\/a> \u2019s extended squad for the final regular season game against Warrington Wolves.<\/p>\n

But Peters insists Burgess, with 21 tries in 23 appearances in all competitions this year, will be available for the play-offs.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got a slight strain, but it\u2019s very minor. He\u2019ll miss this week, but then he\u2019ll be okay for the finals,\u201d Peters explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cInitially, it didn\u2019t show anything on the scan. Then he came back, and did his return of play protocols that he needed to get through, and it just started to get a bit sore.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe pulled out and we sent him for another scan. It\u2019s very minor, but there\u2019s no point in taking any risks at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Kelepi Tanginoa is available again after being a late withdrawal in the penultimate round. In a further boost, powerhouse prop Sauaso Sue is also expected to return from injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s doing well,\u201d Peters said of Sue.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re hopeful he\u2019ll play this week. He\u2019s got through everything, and I\u2019m looking forward to seeing him back on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know how important he is. He\u2019s had a great year, and has been one of our most consistent players all season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat he does in and around the place, his professionalism and how he goes about his business. He\u2019s a professional and that\u2019s why he\u2019s gotten better and better in his 30s, which is a credit to him.<\/p>\n
