A popular coffee chain<\/a> will open its third store in Northern Ireland later this year.<\/p>\n

Belfast International Airport<\/a> has announced a new partnership with Pret A Manger, bringing the popular food and coffee shop to the busy airport.<\/p>\n

Scheduled to open in the coming weeks in the airside Departures concourse<\/a>, adding to the current food and beverage offerings available, the new shop will create 40 new jobs.<\/p>\n

The introduction of Pret to Belfast International Airport<\/a> aligns with its commitment to “diversify retail and catering options” and providing travellers with more choice and convenience.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the airport said this development is the next step in a programme to redevelop the commercial facilities within the terminal.<\/p>\n

It follows on from the airport\u2019s recent investment programme which to date has delivered a new state-of-the-art security hall, walk-through duty-free experience, expanded arrivals hall and an enhanced forecourt.<\/p>\n

Belfast International Airport is Pret\u2019s third shop in Northern Ireland, with other locations in Belfast city centre and Grand Central Station, and the 11th in the island of Ireland – with travel hub locations being a key part of Pret\u2019s new medium-term growth strategy.<\/p>\n

Dan Owens, Chief Executive of Belfast International Airport said: \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Pret A Manger to Belfast International Airport.<\/p>\n

“This new store is a direct response to our passengers’ evolving preferences and a testament to our ongoing commitment to enhancing their journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gerard Loughran, Chief Executive at the Carebrook Partnership Ltd, said: \u201c This new opening at Belfast International Airport is an exciting new milestone for us as we continue to grow the Pret brand in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re delighted to be opening in Northern Ireland\u2019s principal airport, the second largest gateway on the Island of Ireland, and to be able to offer travellers our freshly made food and organic coffee before they set off on their travels.<\/p>\n

“We look forward to hiring a lovely team and serving our first airport customers soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Travellers can look forward to Pret\u2019s signature menu of freshly made sandwiches, salads, hot food options, snacks, baked goods, and wide range of barista-prepared drinks including coffees, teas, hot and iced drinks.<\/p>\n
