\n A 46-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman were arrested in connection with brothel keeping while a 36-year-old woman was also arrested in connection with drug offences, but have all since been released pending furthering enquiries.\n<\/p>\n
\n The seven people offered advice by specialist victim navigators and prostitution liaison officers were made up of six women and one man.\n<\/p>\n
\n Small quantities of drugs as well as a five-figure sum of cash was also recovered as well as evidence linking the addresses to prostitution.\n<\/p>\n
\n Detective Chief Inspector Jonny Wright said: \u201cProstitution brings a significant threat of risk and harm to people and communities.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cOur approach focuses on the safety and welfare of those involved and in identifying either individual perpetrators or crime gangs who pose a threat.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe work closely with our local and national partners to engage with people and signpost them to available support, hopefully reducing the risk of violence.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThis is about safer communities and supported victims, while building trust and confidence in policing. And it\u2019s about tackling violence against women and girls in all its forms.\n<\/p>\n
