\n\tParamount<\/a>+\u2019s Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> documentary has revealed its premiere date several weeks after the BBC<\/a> delayed its own film about the late Black Sabbath<\/a> icon.<\/p>\n

\n\tOzzy: No Escape From Now will launch October 7 on Paramount+<\/a> in the U.S. and around the world excluding Japan. This comes five days after the launch of the BBC\u2019s delayed Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, which was pushed back from mid-August. \n\tDirected by Tania Alexander, the feature-length doc <\/a>has been produced \u201cin collaboration with the Osbourne family,\u201d Paramount said. Alongside Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne<\/a>, children Aimee, Kelly and Jack Osbourne speak candidly about the late-night fall their father suffered in February 2019 and the subsequent life-changing impact of that accident, which ultimately led to him cancelling his two-and-a-half-year farewell tour. Detailing his numerous corrective surgeries, escalating health issues and the progressive effects of his Parkinson\u2019s diagnosis,\u00a0the feature highlights how the superstar\u2019s ongoing chronic pain impacted his mental health and informed the music he made during this period.<\/p>\n

\n\tOsbourne died in July<\/a>, two weeks after reuniting with Black Sabbath for a special reunion concert in his home city of Birmingham, which will also be covered in the Paramount+ doc.<\/p>\n

\n\tShortly after his death, the BBC was due to air its own Osbourne documentary, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home, but it was pulled from the schedules hours before launch<\/a> due to the BBC\u2019s desire to \u201crespect the family\u2019s wishes.\u201d Yesterday, the BBC quietly updated its schedules with Coming Home now set to air on October 2 at 9 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. PT). That film charts Osbourne\u2019s life with contribution from Sharon, Jack and Kelly, and has been heavily altered <\/a>from the previously-commissioned Home to Roost BBC series that was forged as a spiritual successor to MTV\u2019s anarchic mid-noughties series\u00a0The Osbournes, focusing on the family\u2019s return home to the UK. The Sun reported last month that Osbourne family members had been concerned that the team behind the BBC doc were rushing in order to get it on air faster than Paramount.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOzzy: No Escape From Now is produced by Echo Velvet (It\u2019s Showtime,\u00a0Kids Like Us), in partnership with the Osbournes & MTV Entertainment Studios.
