Officers from the Metropolitan Police were joined by colleagues from Greater Manchester and Wales.<\/p>\n<p>Police liaison officers were scattered around the route to manage communications between protesters and local authorities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Officers from the Territorial Support Group, the public order policing unit of the Metropolitan Police, arrived in Piccadilly Circus at 3.30pm and guided protesters along the prescribed route.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police on horses also marched alongside the protest route.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the day, @metpoliceuk posted updated security measures and timings on X.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Met estimated up to 5,000 people were at the rally in Parliament Square, which was due to finish at 7pm.<\/p>\n<p>You can read more about the Stop Trump Coalition march <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swlondoner.co.uk\/news\/17092025-protestors-share-motivations-for-attending-anti-trump-demonstrations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"More than 1,600 police officers were present at the Stop Trump Coalition march in central London.
