King Charles is \u201ctiring\u201d of Prince William\u2019s \u201cself-righteous intractability\u201d as he longs to \u201cre-embrace\u201d his younger son Prince Harry<\/a>, according to a royal observer.<\/p>\n

Harry joined his father for tea last week at the monarch\u2019s London home in their first meeting in over a year<\/a> following a public split between the pair.<\/p>\n

Royal observer and journalist Tina Brown said the reunion<\/a> marked a \u201cfulfillment of paternal longing\u201d for Charles, who \u201cdesperately misses his prodigal son.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s understandably enraging for William to see his treacherous younger brother, who spent the last five years trashing his family on TV and promoting a back-stabbing, best-selling book, bounding around the British charity circuit, doing a well-received side-dash to Ukraine<\/a> and upstaging the photo ops of William\u2019s own diligent engagements,\u201d Brown wrote in an opinion piece in the New York<\/a> Times.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut Charles, I am told, is tiring of his elder son\u2019s self-righteous intractability in the family feud, and wants to re-embrace Harry \u2014 if only he can keep his mouth shut.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buckingham Palace last week confirmed that Charles and Harry spent time together at Clarence House.<\/p>\n

Harry had distanced himself from the Royal Family since he and his wife, Meghan, left royal life and moved to California<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n

His relationship with Charles and William grew increasingly fraught after the couple aired their grievances with the royal family in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and on a Netflix show.<\/p>\n

Harry further angered his family after he revealed personal conversations in his memoir, \u201cSpare.\u201d<\/p>\n

He and his father last met in February 2024, when the prince flew to London following Charles\u2019 cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

In April, a court dismissed Harry\u2019s bid to restore a police protection detail that was canceled after he stopped being a working royal.<\/p>\n

Following the case, Harry expressed his desire to reconcile with his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no point in continuing to fight anymore,\u201d Harry told the BBC at the time. \u201cLife is precious.
