For once in Daniel Farke\u2019s tenure, he has the sympathy and support of the Leeds United fanbase. Not because Leeds fans are 100% convinced by him, but because of the transfer team\u2019s failings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Farke called for more attacking signings<\/a> after the 0-0 draw against Newcastle. Publicly, he requested that Leeds<\/a> go out and sign one or two. They tried to get Harry Wilson and Facundo Buonanotte, but failed.<\/p>\n

Robbie Evans described it as a bad end to a good window, but to Leeds fans it is a disaster. Just one goal in four Premier League<\/a> games is proof that Leeds lack the attacking firepower to fight against the drop.<\/p>\n

But who ends up copping for that? Who loses their job when things go wrong? Farke<\/a> is under pressure even though it is not his fault, and fans are sympathising with him. But that could all easily turn sour.<\/p>\n

It might not be his fault, but Leeds are not equipped well enough and that means, Leeds will lose games and eventually, change will be required. That will mean Farke is axed, unless he can conjure up magic.<\/p>\n

But news of Jose Mourinho joining Benfica<\/a> will have come as music to Farke\u2019s ears. Leeds were linked with Mourinho in the summer<\/a>, despite Farke securing promotion. Richard Keys says Mourinho rejected Leeds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mourinho<\/a> left Fenerbahce after failing to qualify for the Champions League and while Leeds failed to score against Newcastle and Fulham, fans had been calling for Mourinho to be lured to Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aidy White was asked if he would sack Farke<\/a>, with Mourinho available. He defended Farke, but it clearly shows that fans are restless. But with Mourinho off to Benfica, Farke can breathe a big sigh of relief.<\/p>\n

Mourinho is off the table, but Farke isn\u2019t out of the woods yet<\/p>\n

A clear candidate and one liked by Paraag Marathe has chosen to return to his first-ever managerial job in Benfica. A boost for Farke\u2019s job tenure, for now. But he\u2019s not safe yet, due to another Portuguese gaffer.<\/p>\n

Nuno Espirito Santo has been linked with Leeds before<\/a>, when Leeds needed to replace Jesse Marsch. He went on to win the Saudi Pro League with Al Ittihad at the time. Nuno has since starred as Forest boss.<\/p>\n

Out of work, Nuno remains a threat to Farke. The ideal type of manager for a relegation scrap, Nuno\u2019s pragmatism would suit Leeds well at the moment.
