As fashion and Formula 1 collaborations<\/a> become ever more popular, H. Moser is doing its own thing by skipping the loud, oversized logos and sticking to its signature subtle style for a pair of limited-edition watches that blend the accuracy of watchmaking with the bold energy of motor racing. This isn\u2019t for your average merch fan; it\u2019s for collectors who want something rare, exceptional, and entirely different from everything else on the market it.<\/p>\n

First up is the H. Moser \u00d7 Alpine Streamliner Drivers Edition. Drawing inspiration from the racetrack, it\u2019s the official drivers\u2019 watch for Alpine Motorsports drivers and the centerpiece of the collaboration. Designed for both on- and off-track use, it features an open-worked dial that reveals the intricate gears which is a detail developed with feedback from Alpine drivers.<\/p>\n

Next is the Streamliner Mechanics Edition, designed for the guys behind the scenes. Alpine calls it \u201cthe first watch specifically designed to meet the needs of a Formula 1 team.\u201d Featuring a new \u201cF1 Mode,\u201d it\u2019s like a race-day message board on your wrist, delivering key race updates such as start times. Like the features on the Drivers Edition, F1 Mode was inspired by the real-world needs of racing teams. \u201cWhat\u2019s critical is how fast we can communicate,\u201d says Meylan. Luckily for the rest of us, having something that ensures you don\u2019t miss the start of a race is pretty handy for fans as well.<\/p>\n

According to Gasly, the relationship between racing and timekeeping is a natural one\u2014but not in the way you might think. While most folks would point to the huge importance of precision, the driver is more interested in what\u2019s going on behind the scenes, before the intensity of the race itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are so many parallels,\u201d he explains. \u201cPeople see me racing my car, but I don\u2019t think they appreciate that 1,500 people helped build it. A watch is the same\u2014we get the end product.\u201d The H.Moser partnership helped him fully understand the effort that goes into that end product. Plus, it gave him a chance to influence it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would have never imagined being involved in the design process of a watch,\u201d said Alpine driver Pierre Gasly. \u201cI\u2019m just sharing my ideas\u2014this is what I like\u2014and they figure out how to do it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been involved from start to finish,\u201d he continues. \u201cThe collaboration keeps getting stronger every year.\u201d It\u2019s a hint that this could be just the beginning for H. Moser and Gasly. The French driver recently extended his contract with Alpine through 2028. With a big season ahead and F1\u2019s global fanbase growing fast, the duo seem perfectly positioned for what\u2019s next.<\/p>\n
