Wrexham will come up against a summer transfer target when they return to the pitch vs Norwich City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In total, 13 players joined Wrexham<\/a> during the most recent transfer window for an outlay of around \u00a333m.<\/p>\n

The Red Dragons landed a lot of their top targets, but there were some who opted to move elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Christian Eriksen rejected Wrexham<\/a> as he decided he wanted to keep playing in the top flight after leaving Manchester United on a free.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, another summer target snubbed both the Dragons and Birmingham City for Norwich City this summer.<\/p>\n

Harry Darling<\/a> was out of contract with Welsh rivals Swansea City at the end of June.<\/p>\n

Wrexham and Birmingham wanted Darling<\/a>, but he rejected them both to instead move to Norwich.<\/p>\n

The centre-back is now expected to line out against Phil Parkinson<\/a> and co. when they clash at Carrow Road on September 20.<\/p>\n

Darling has started all five of Norwich\u2019s Championship fixtures this season and scored in a win over Portsmouth.<\/p>\n

Amid losing out on the 26-year-old, Wrexham<\/a> opted to sign three more centre-backs this summer.<\/p>\n

Conor Coady was first through the door before Callum Doyle arrived in an initial \u00a35m deal. Dom Hyam was then signed permanently from Blackburn Rovers on deadline day.<\/p>\n

Based on their performances so far this season, Wrexham would probably love to have signed an experienced Championship defender like Darling.<\/p>\n

The Dragons have kept just one clean sheet so far this season, shipping at least two goals in their other four league matches.<\/p>\n

Parkinson commented on Wrexham\u2019s defending<\/a> this week after conceding three to QPR last time out.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt\u2019s obvious we can\u2019t give up the chances we have done, certainly at home. It\u2019s as simple as that and we\u2019ve got to find a solution to that.\u201d<\/p>\n
