In November 2022, D4vd did an interview with Genius<\/a>, breaking down the lyrics of Romantic Homicide. He said a key part of his music is that the lyrics are up for interpretation.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t kill her physically, but in the back of my mind she died,\u201d D4vd said.<\/p>\n He then explained why the lyrics changed from \u201cyou died\u201d to \u201cI killed you\u201d in the second part of the song.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not like the thought of her being gone is something she did, it was something I decided to do,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s really more of a figurative \u2018I killed you,\u2019 which is why I say it so loud.\u201d<\/p>\n What\u2019s up with the music video? via YouTube<\/p>\n The Romantic Homicide video was uploaded to D4vd\u2019s official YouTube channel in September 2022 and now has almost 200 million views, It shows D4vd, blindfolded and lying on the ground with brief flashes of a girl with dark curly hair appearing consistently.
