The 2025 GoCardless Swim England National Summer Meet is set to make a splash with strong participation and a packed schedule of thrilling races.<\/p>\n
Taking place from Tuesday 29 July to Sunday 3 August at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield, this year\u2019s event promises to deliver an unforgettable week of competitive swimming at its finest.<\/p>\n
Big turnout expected<\/p>\n
A staggering 1,680 athletes will be diving into action over six days, including 739 open\/male swimmers, 825 female swimmers and 66 para-athletes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Between them, they have submitted a colossal 4,017 event entries \u2013 1,883 from open\/male swimmers, 1,939 from females and from 195 para-swimmers \u2013 setting the stage for an incredible week of competitive swimming.<\/p>\n
14-year-old para-swimmer Iona Winnifrith will be starting at this year\u2019s Summer Meet after winning a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympics in the 100m Breaststroke as the youngest ever member of the ParalympicsGB squad.<\/p>\n
Iona will compete in her only event, the 400m Freestyle, on Friday morning.<\/p>\n
Full spectrum of racing<\/p>\n
The action kicks off on Tuesday morning with the Open\/Male 400m Freestyle, setting the tone for a jam-packed six days of high-level racing.<\/p>\n
As every year, spectators can expect a dynamic programme of events, with everything from explosive sprints to longer distance races and hard-fought finals.<\/p>\n
The competition will come to an end on Sunday with the last races, the Female 200m Butterfly finals.<\/p>\n

Ponds Forge \u2013 one of the UK\u2019s premier swimming venues \u2013 once again sets the scene for top-tier competition.<\/p>\n
After successfully hosting last year\u2019s Summer Meet, the Sheffield complex is primed to deliver, what will be, six action-packed days of racing and unforgettable moments.<\/p>\n
As ever, the Summer Meet serves as a great opportunity for swimmers to show their talent and improve their personal bests.<\/p>\n
With clubs and swimmers from across the country travelling to Sheffield, the 2025 edition promises to be a celebration of talent, determination and the enduring determination of English swimming.<\/p>\n
