United are eyeing Bolton’s Amario Cozier-Duberry

Although the summer transfer window recently slammed shut, that hasn’t put an end to general speculation regarding the immediate and long-term predicaments of certain players across the EFL.

The Championship, League One and League Two is currently home to a stunning pool of young talent who are either progressing through the ranks at specific clubs, or are looking to enhance their individual development and potential, having made it at high-profile clubs in the Premier League.

Amario Cozier-Duberry has become no stranger to the EFL in the past two seasons, and is someone who falls into the latter of the aforementioned categories having signed for Brighton and Hove Albion last summer after coming through Arsenal’s well-known Hale End system.

The 20-year-old was handed his first taste of regular first-team football last season at Blackburn Rovers, yet it failed to fully work out as he recorded a solitary goal in just 23 overall appearances amid injury issues.

However, the same description cannot be said at present, with the England Under-20 international flourishing at Bolton Wanderers, registering two goals and as many assists in eight appearances under Steven Schumacher thus far, including a sensational 94th-minute equaliser at Leyton Orient.

Yet, as much as his presence has been welcomed by the Whites, they may live to regret the recall option inserted in the loan agreement, with one Championship club on red alert.

That’s because, according to Alan Nixon, Sheffield United have identified Cozier-Duberry as a potential signing in January, and that a loan or permanent deal could see him move to Bramall Lane from the AMEX Stadium under the newly-appointed Chris Wilder, with the Blades looking to fill a major hole in the right-wing position after dispensing Ruben Selles.

However, such is his quality, it would be unlikely that just the South Yorkshire side would be plotting a transfer swoop, and FLW has identified two other clubs who should join this particular transfer race should it unfold.

                        West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion have started the season in respectable fashion, with Ryan Mason bringing a front-footed identity to The Hawthorns in his maiden managerial role, utilising the services of many young talents.

The 34-year-old has a strong core of wide players at his disposal, mainly continuing to select Mikey Johnston and Jed Wallace as his starting options, whilst Isaac Price also has the ability to fill in on the right flank when needed.

However, with some concerns that Albion have left themselves lightweight in the right-wing department following the recent high-profile departure of Tom Fellows to Southampton, Cozier-Duberry would certainly help fill the void left behind by the academy graduate.

As showcased several times so far this season, the Bolton loanee isn’t afraid to take defenders on the outside, as well as cutting inside to great effect, proven by his stunning strike at Brisbane Road for Wanderers.

With the Baggies in a good position to challenge for the top-six once again, it is certainly a club which can attract young stars such as Cozier-Duberry, who will look to right the unfortunate wrongs of his previous spell at this level at Ewood Park.

                        Wrexham

It remains to be seen whether current Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson lasts up to January amid reports that the experienced manager is already under pressure following a slow start to the season.

However, Cozier-Duberry could, like many summer signings, be attracted to the ongoing project in North Wales fronted by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The Red Dragons’ summer business showcased many signings with experience, whilst the winger would certainly add a sense of unpredictability and youthful dynamism to a side, as well as increasing the quality of service towards the towering presence of Kieffer Moore.

At present, the Welsh side aren’t exactly spoiled for choice when it comes to natural right-sided players, with Ryan Longman the only fully natural option at Parkinson’s disposal, making it feel like a no-brainer for the ex-Brighton academy graduate to end up battling for a starting berth alongside a future AMEX Stadium prospect.

The current caveat, of course, is that Parkinson has diligently stuck to his 3-5-1-1 formation with wing-backs as opposed to natural wingers in the mold of Cozier-Duberry. However, given the uncertainty surrounding Parkinson’s future in North Wales, there is every chance that he could be relieved of his duties before the New Year rolls around and a new manager with a new style could well be in situ.

Although the summer transfer window recently slammed shut, that hasn’t put an end to general speculation regarding the…

[8817
748,393,4884,1620,16,15
0":"post-434644","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-sheffield","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-england","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-sheffield","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
