Also putting distance between himself and his teammate displaying the synonymity between him and his <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/09\/07\/formula-1\/1035728-italian-grand-prix-five-talking-points.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McLaren<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"gie-single\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.co.uk\/detail\/1316771758\" id=\"shTmxwTGQ71NQUCBaQIr9Q\" style=\"color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tFerrari best of the rest?\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a pair, there are not many up there with<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/12\/12\/formula-1\/1051018-abu-dhabi-gp-qualifying-verstappen-snatches-his-first-podium-for-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Charles Leclerc<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/12\/12\/formula-1\/1051018-abu-dhabi-gp-qualifying-verstappen-snatches-his-first-podium-for-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carlos Sainz<\/a><\/strong> as they came home in P5 and P6 whilst both being the only drivers on the medium tire and both being half a second off the pace gives them a positive look on the weekend ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Behind was <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/11\/14\/formula-1\/1046765-turkish-gp-2020-qualifying-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pierre Gasly<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/10\/24\/formula-1\/1043435-hamilton-leaves-it-late-to-snatch-pole-off-dominant-bottas-in-qualifying.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sebastian Vettel<\/a><\/strong> who managed to outpace <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/08\/17\/formula-1\/1032788-spanish-grand-prix-driver-ratings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sergio Perez<\/a><\/strong> as his last lap encountered some traffic which stopped him from getting to the heights of his teammate. Vettel&#8217;s teammate <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/11\/14\/formula-1\/1046765-turkish-gp-2020-qualifying-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lance Stroll<\/a><\/strong> rounded out the top 10 with better performance for<strong> Aston Martin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/08\/09\/1031667-f2-sprint-race-prema-teammates-collide-to-hand-tsunoda-the-win.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yuki Tsunoda<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/08\/30\/formula-1\/1034617-driver-ratings-belgian-grand-prix-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esteban Ocon<\/a><\/strong> just missed out on the top 10 ahead of what is a very mixed second half of the field. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/12\/12\/formula-1\/1051018-abu-dhabi-gp-qualifying-verstappen-snatches-his-first-podium-for-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antonio Giovinazzi<\/a><\/strong> had a great morning session for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/07\/12\/formula-1\/1028060-driver-ratings-styrian-grand-prix-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alfa Romeo<\/a><\/strong> placing as high as thirteenth.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"gie-single\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.co.uk\/detail\/1316771226\" id=\"xuGt_LtfQqlQDYrvnIGXkw\" style=\"color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\tTroubling start to the weekend\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/10\/26\/formula-1\/1043821-portuguese-gp-driver-ratings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel Ricciardo<\/a><\/strong> has again been off the pace of his teammate only ending in P14 ahead of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2018\/11\/29\/formula-1\/958088-formula-one-season-review-2018.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fernando Alonso<\/a><\/strong> who will want to put in a better performance than P15 for his beloved home race.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/10\/31\/formula-1\/1044617-imola-gp-2020-qualifying-results.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nicholas Latifi<\/a><\/strong> had a good morning session ahead of their Rookie teammate for this session, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vavel.com\/en\/motorsports\/2020\/02\/10\/formula-1\/1013176-f1-how-williams-will-shape-up-for-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roy Nissany<\/a><\/strong>.
