Famous guests like Hollywood director <strong>Ben Wheatley<\/strong> (Kill List, High-Rise, Meg 2: The Trench), LA cult legend <strong>Greg Sestero<\/strong> (The Room), UK comedy icon <strong>Garth Marenghi<\/strong> (AKA Darkplace star Matthew Holness) and cult TV director <strong>Michael Cumming<\/strong> (Toast of London, Brass Eye) have all visited in recent years alongside collaborations with regional institutions like <strong>HOME, SCENE Film Festival, <a href=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/pride-events-manchester\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/pride-events-manchester\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_3\" data-category=\"click_internal\">Manchester Pride<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/manchester-film-festival\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretmanchester.com\/manchester-film-festival\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_4\" data-category=\"click_internal\">Manchester Film Festival<\/a><\/strong> and national film bodies like the <strong>BFI<\/strong> and the <strong>BBC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p> What will CULTPLEX cinema offer after this expansion in Manchester? <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-77312\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/CULTPLEX-DL-44.jpg\" alt=\"cultplex cinema sign\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/>Credit: CULTPLEX\/Supplied <\/p>\n<p>CULTPLEX will now take over GRUB\u2019s entire Red Bank venue meaning a significant expansion to their already burgeoning programme of film screenings and events.<\/p>\n<p> Screen 1 <\/p>\n<p>Screen 1 will receive a full technical upgrade allowing the cinema to show<strong> all the new releases<\/strong> alongside supporting even more <strong>big name film festivals<\/strong> in addition to serious <strong>furniture upgrades<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p> New mini cinema &amp; Manchester\u2019s tiniest cinema <\/p>\n<p>In addition, a new<strong> mini cinema seating 40 people<\/strong>, and Manchester\u2019s tiniest cinema, an <strong>eight-seater micro auditorium<\/strong>, will also be created \u2013 and these <strong>new screens mean all new events<\/strong>. Manchester movie fans can expect<strong> film school screenings, movie art workshops, movie socials and dating nights<\/strong>, plus regular events for <strong>Dungeons &amp; Dragons<\/strong> enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p> What events and clubs will take place at the new CULTPLEX cinema? <\/p>\n<p>Recurring fixtures as part of the revitalised programme will include a<strong> Sunday Wii bowling league<\/strong>, Manchester\u2019s premiere<strong> film quiz \u2018QUIZ SHOW\u2019<\/strong>, and<strong> \u2018TV PARTY\u2019<\/strong>, where audiences can gather together to watch the latest big TV moments on the big screen like the<strong> Oscars<\/strong> and <strong>The Traitors Season 4<\/strong>.
