\n\tDonald Trump<\/a> may have just thrown shade at Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a> while spending time with the British Royal Family during an official visit to the UK.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe US President, who made his feelings about Harry and his \u201cterrible\u201d wife very clear in the past, is cozying up to the rest of the Royal Family this week. He was welcomed to the UK<\/a> by Prince William, Kate Middleton, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla on Wednesday, September 17, before being hosted, alongside wife Melania Trump<\/a>, at a state banquet in Windsor Castle. <\/p>\n

\n\tThere, Trump gave a speech to express his gratitude to the Royals, making sure to only mention one of the King\u2019s two sons and one of his two daughters-in-law. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI just want to say that His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness, Prince of Wales. Really amazing,\u201d Trump said, per Page Six<\/a>, omitting any mention of the Duke of Sussex. Trump noted that he is \u201cdelighted\u201d to be in Britain and said that he and Melania have \u201cgotten to know\u201d William, 43, since their arrival.<\/p>\n

\n\tTrump and Prince Harry have kept their disdain for one another barely beneath the surface over the years. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2020, Trump insisted the United States would not pay for Harry and wife Meghan Markle\u2019s security when they moved to California<\/a> after leaving the Royal Family. Harry and Meghan never gave any indication that they planned to ask the US to cover their security.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2022, he told Piers Morgan that Harry<\/a> was \u201cwhipped like no person he has ever seen.\u201d Upon returning to office in 2024, Trump hinted that Harry could be deported from the US over the drug usage he mentioned in his memoir, Spare<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf he lied [on his application], they\u2019ll have to take appropriate action,\u201d the President said. In February 2025, he backed off the deportation suggestion, telling the New York Post<\/a>: \u201cI don\u2019t want to do that. I\u2019ll leave him alone. He\u2019s got enough problems with his wife. She\u2019s terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHarry, meanwhile, has been a little more subtle. He appeared to take a swipe at Trump, the MAGA movement and his ally at the time, Elon Musk, during a February talk at the Upfront Summit in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNow, this would be a great time to talk about how a sickness in leadership across sectors, from politics to tech, can have a detrimental effect on millions, if not billions, of people,\u201d the Duke of Sussex said, according<\/a> to The Daily Mail, shortly after Trump\u2019s comments about Markle.<\/p>\n
