Emmerdale\u2019s Charity Dingle<\/a> (Emma Atkins<\/a>) and Ross Barton<\/a> (Michael Parr<\/a>) couldn\u2019t run from it forever; she\u2019s about to learn exactly who is the father of her unborn baby.\u00a0<\/p>\n Charity agreed to carry Sarah<\/a>\u2019s (Katie Hill<\/a>) baby in good faith, and they set about trying to achieve a successful embryo implantation<\/a>. But an argument with Mackenzie Boyd <\/a>(Lawrence Robb<\/a>) saw her fall into bed with Ross and Charity\u2019s deep-seated troubles began.\u00a0<\/p>\n When Charity seemingly lost the embryo after a fall on a walk, but found herself miraculously pregnant afterwards, no one questioned it, except Ross. <\/p>\n He knew that he and Charity had secretly had sex and that the baby was possibly his<\/a>. Sarah chose ignorance despite Charity being quite clear that the implantation had not been successful. But she\u2019ll know soon because Ross is not the kind of person to let this go.\u00a0<\/p>\n The secret was almost aired when Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) sprung a surprise early scan on Charity and Ross was later visibly moved when Sarah innocently showed him the scan photo.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t Keen to know if the kid is his, Ross has been turning the screws on Charity.\u00a0<\/p>\n Charity has been carrying the guilt but refusing to face it. The next day, Charity heads off for a DNA test to get Ross off her back, truly hoping that he is wrong. Don’t forget to turn on notifications so you can see when we’ve just dropped the latest spoilers! <\/p>\n Discussing Charity having to keep this enormous secret<\/a>, star Emma Atkins said: \u2018She\u2019s having to hide all of this stuff and put on these fake smiles.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018There is an element of feeling really empowered that she is able to carry this child for Sarah, and now she\u2019s being met with the dilemma that it might possibly not be Sarah\u2019s.\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018There\u2019s that real heartache of, \u2018What if she found out and it isn\u2019t hers?\u2019 It\u2019s that bittersweet of, \u2018Oh my God, what do I actually do with knowing all of this?\u2019.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t She can\u2019t function at the moment because she\u2019s so full of emotions for so many different reasons.
