Everton have enjoyed a brilliant start to the season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Moyes has led Everton to a three-match unbeaten streak<\/a> after losing their Premier League opener against Leeds United. <\/p>\n

Jack Grealish has been pivotal to Everton\u2019s revival<\/a>, leading to talk of a potential challenge for European qualification. <\/p>\n

Whether the Hill Dickinson Stadium<\/a> outfit can maintain their positive opening to the campaign remains to be seen. <\/p>\n

Expert believes Everton can challenge for Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everton will be looking to overcome Liverpool next<\/a>, in their toughest challenge to date. <\/p>\n

Darke believes that there is every chance that the Blues can secure a place in Europe next season for the first time since the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News<\/strong>, he said: \u201cThey have got seven points out of 12, I think it is a promising start. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe team that they have got now has got a little bit more flair about it, they have got Grealish, Ndiaye, who they had last season, Dewsbury-Hall as well. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou would possibly say not beating an out-of-form Aston Villa was a little bit of a disappointment at the weekend, not to get the home win to really continue their momentum. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis looks like being a much better season for Everton than the ones that they have had lately. There is no reason at all. David Moyes has got that taste for Europe now after what he did with West Ham. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat will certainly be their aim in the second half of the season to close in on those European places, and there is no reason, I don\u2019t think, it is a pretty open and competitive division, why they cannot get involved.\u201d <\/p>\n

If the Toffees can beat the Reds and give Moyes a first Anfield victory after 23 years, then it will lay down a huge marker for their rivals.<\/p>\n

If they can secure victory over the champions, who have recorded a 100 per cent start to their league campaign, it would leave no doubt that Moyes\u2019 side can qualify for Europe. <\/p>\n

The Merseyside derby could be crucial in determining where the Blues are at and how realistic their ambitions are. <\/p>\n

It would be their first qualification since 2018, and it is about time things start looking up again.<\/p>\n
