That\u2019s the advantage of being independent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He added: \u201cI can\u2019t judge it. For me, it\u2019s not whether it\u2019s going well or not. It\u2019s that independence. I moved the headquarters there for totally different reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Those reasons included suppliers struggling to meet the demand of his growing company, and a skills shortage in the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI am one of Britain\u2019s largest taxpayers. Establishing the HQ of Dyson in Singapore did not change where and how the revenue and profits are taxed.
