Luckily, Queen Camilla<\/a> was nearby to calm his nerves.<\/p>\n The unusual encounter was reportedly witnessed by Queen Camilla, who rushed into the room after hearing his startled cry.<\/p>\n \u201cHe walked into the dining room and shrieked,\u201d Tom wrote.\u00a0\u201cFearing the worst, Camilla dashed in after him. \u2018What\u2019s this?\u2019 asked her husband, pointing at the food. \u2018It\u2019s cling film, darling,\u2019 she replied.\u201d<\/p>\n The anecdote is used in the book to illustrate Charles\u2019s apparent detachment from everyday life, a recurring concern of his father, the late Prince Philip.<\/p>\n Tom noted that Philip believed Charles lacked \u201cnormal\u201d life experience.
