The Met Office have cancelled a weather warning that had initially been put in place for parts of Northern Ireland this weekend.<\/p>\n
The yellow weather<\/a> warning for rain was issued by the forecaster yesterday<\/a>, September 18, and was expected to be in place across eastern regions from 12pm on Saturday, September 20, until 3am the following day.<\/p>\n The alert said areas of Co Antrim<\/a> and Co Down<\/a> could expect heavy rain which “may lead to flooding and travel disruption.” However, on Friday morning, September 19, the Met Office cancelled the yellow warning for Northern Ireland.<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: Watch the moment lightning strikes in NI hotel car park<\/a>READ MORE: Documentary material may be relevant to showjumper\u2019s inquest, coroner told<\/a><\/p>\n The forecaster<\/a> said: “Whilst some showers and isolated thunderstorms are still expected on Saturday, the likelihood of disruptive rainfall has decreased.” A rain warning remains in place for other parts of the UK.<\/p>\n Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday is set to get off to a “dry and bright start” before “shower or longer spells develop through the morning, turning heavy at times.” The maximum temperature is expected to be 17 C.<\/p>\n It will be a cooler day on Sunday, with sunshine, scattered showers, and a northerly breeze.
