Arnold Schwarzenegger cracked an uncomfortable joke about ex-wife Maria Shriver taking his money during their lengthy divorce.<\/p>\n
The \u201cTerminator\u201d star made the quip while honoring Chris Wallace at the journalist\u2019s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony<\/a> Thursday.<\/p>\n \u201cI know a lot about journalists. I\u2019ve been interviewed \u2014 you can imagine, in my lifetime \u2014 by thousands and thousands of journalists,\u201d the former California governor shared. \u201cBut not only that, I was also married to a journalist.\u201d<\/p>\n Arnold Schwarzenegger joked about paying half of his earnings to his ex-wife Maria Shriver. Getty Images<\/p>\n Schwarzenegger then quipped, \u201cThe only difference between Chris and Maria is that Chris has never taken half my money.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor and Shriver, who was a longtime ABC reporter, were married for nearly 25 years and share four children<\/a>: Katherine, 35, Christina, 34, Patrick, 32, and Christopher, 27.<\/p>\n The couple, who married in 1986, separated in 2011<\/a> amid salacious reports about Schwarzenegger\u2019s infidelity.<\/p>\n Schwarzenegger, who shares four children with Shriver, admitted to fathering a child with the family housekeeper. FilmMagic<\/p>\n He later owned up to his shortcomings.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt was my f\u2013k up. It was my failure,\u201d he admitted in a 2023 interview before stressing that he\u2019s still \u201cgood friends\u201d with Shriver and is \u201cvery proud of the way we raised our kids.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEven though we had this drama,\u201d he explained, \u201cwe did Easter together, Mother\u2019s Day together, the Christmases together, all birthdays \u2014 everything together.\u201d<\/p>\n The former politician made the remarks during a ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Chris Wallace.
