Firefighters were called to a blaze in Liverpool city centre this evening after a tent caught fire on Great Cross Hall Street. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS)<\/a> received reports of the incident at 6.09pm and arrived on scene within minutes at 6.12pm.<\/p>\n One fire engine was dispatched to tackle the fire. Upon arrival, crews found a single tent ablaze. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control using a hose reel jet, and the incident was resolved by 6.20pm.<\/a><\/p>\n Merseyside Police were also in attendance and liaised with Liverpool City Council to arrange for the area to be cleaned up.<\/p>\n There have been no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.<\/a><\/p>\n A spokesperson for MFRS said: “Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) attended an incident on Great Cross Hall Street, Liverpool City Centre<\/a>, on the evening of Friday 19th September.<\/p>\n “Crews were alerted at 18.09 and on scene at 18.12 with one fire engine attending.<\/p>\n “On arrival this was one tent involved in fire.
