Guillermo del Toro <\/strong>and Chuck Hogan\u2019s<\/strong> novella series The Boy in the Iron Box <\/strong>is getting a film adaptation at Netflix<\/strong>, THR reports<\/a>, with del Toro and Hogan on board as producers.<\/p>\n

Rupert Friend<\/strong> (Jurassic World Rebirth), Kevin Durand<\/strong> (Abigail), and Jaeden Martell<\/strong> (IT) will star in The Boy in the Iron Box, which brings the six-part novella series to life.<\/p>\n

David Prior<\/strong> (The Empty Man) wrote the script and will direct the movie.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter details, \u201cPublished by Amazon Original Stories for its Kindle platform last year, the story told of a group of mercenaries that crash-land on a remote snow summit.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaking refuge from wolves in a long-abandoned fortress, the men find a concealed pit with a box wrapped in chains. Terrors are soon unleashed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cFriend will play the leader of the group, a man named Liev. Durand is one of the mercenaries while Martell is the titular boy in the iron box,\u201d the site\u2019s report goes on to detail.<\/p>\n
