As every parent knows, you have to be prepared for any unexpected situation when you\u2019re travelling with young children. This rule still stands for royalty, as the Princess of Wales<\/a> knows all too well.<\/p>\n When Princess Charlotte<\/a> was just three years old, she reportedly sprung a very relatable scenario onto her mother, forcing their royal convoy to make a dramatic stop at a pub in South London.<\/p>\n The pair had been travelling in a black Range Rover through the capital when it seems the youngster told her mum, who was then known as the Duchess of Cambridge, that she needed to use the toilet.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Prince Harry interview bombshells after King Charles meeting from truth claim to ‘no regrets’<\/a>READ MORE: Meghan Markle’s former best friend ‘set to release explosive tell-all book’ about Duchess<\/a> On the lookout for the nearest bathroom, they pulled up outside The Phoenix pub in Stockwell in 2018 and walked in hand-in-hand to ask if they could use the facilities.<\/p>\n Before Kate and Charlotte, now 10, entered the pub a plain clothes woman, believed to be a protection officer, walked in and asked bar staff if a little girl could use the bathroom. The royal mother and daughter soon followed.<\/p>\n Shocked customers at the pub couldn\u2019t believe their eyes when the royals walked in, and were stunned by how normal the entire interaction was.<\/p>\n Maggie McKinney, a regular at the pub, told MailOnline <\/a>at the time: “I was sitting in my usual chair and when I looked up I saw Kate Middleton<\/a>, I mean the Duchess of Cambridge and her daughter Princess Charlotte.<\/p>\n “The little kiddie just trotted in with her mum, went to the toilet and then trotted out. They could not have been in the pub for more than ten minutes. They seem very nice, totally normal. Princess Kate<\/a> was holding her daughter’s hand. Princess Charlotte was just any other little girl.\u201d<\/p>\n Kate has always put her family first, even ahead of her royal duties, and she made a subtle yet powerful statement about her priorities while on an outing to two textile factories last week.<\/p>\n She travelled to Suffolk and Kent to showcase the excellence of the British textile industry <\/a>, using her outfit to send a touching tribute to her children and her husband, Prince William <\/a>.<\/p>\n When she tried her hand at silk screen printing at Marina Mill in Kent, the Princess was snapped wearing a piece of personalised gold jewellery that read \u2018GCL\u2019: the initials of her three children George <\/a>, Charlotte and Louis.
