A POPULAR New York-style pizza joint is set to open a new location in Glasgow after plans were given the green light.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sear’s Pizza<\/a>, well-known for selling pizza by the slice, submitted plans to open its new branch in the city centre.<\/p>\n

It will be the diner’s third venue overall and second one in the cityCredit: Sear’s Pizza – Fraser Crumless<\/p>\n

The brand is inspired by similar joints in the Big Apple<\/a>, and customers can buy a huge slice for just \u00a32.<\/p>\n

The eatery already has two other Scottish branches.<\/p>\n

One is located on Marchmont Road in Edinburgh<\/a>, and another on Chancellor Street in the west end of Glasgow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new Glasgow site will be its second location in the city when it opens in the near future<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sear’s Pizza is set to take over a unit on John Street in the city centre, which was previously occupied by Metro Sandwich.<\/p>\n

According to Glasgow Times,<\/a> plans were submitted to the local authority this week.<\/p>\n

And it has now been approved by councillors.<\/p>\n

However, the planning<\/a> decision notice states that “no signage is approved as part of this application”.<\/p>\n

So it is currently unclear how the new venue will look.<\/p>\n

It is also unclear when the new pizza joint is expected to open.<\/p>\n

New \u00a312m holiday park with 100 lodges could open in tiny Scots village<\/p>\n

But when it does, it will be open five days a week, Monday to Friday, from 12pm until 9pm.<\/p>\n

A retrospective planning application was also submitted for a hood and extractor fan, which were installed 22 years ago in 2003.<\/p>\n
