The Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/a> mom shared the update at the 2025 Virtual Reali-Tea Awards hosted by Page Six in New York City. Phaedra was among the Bravolebrities who took the stage for a live interview, dishing on everything from her reality TV career and dating life to RHOA rumors and her rocky relationship with Angela.<\/p>\n

Phaedra Parks says she and Angela Oakley are “in a different place”<\/p>\n

Hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy pointed out that Angela recently congratulated Phaedra on her Primetime Emmy\u2019s gig<\/a>, which saw the Housewife on the red carpet conducting celebrity interviews.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations Phaedra, you are truly the Godfather!\u201d Angela commented on Phaedra’s Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The message suggested the Atlanta \u2019Wives had finally squashed their beef; however, Phaedra remained pretty tight-lipped about their suspected reconciliation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talked to her,\u201d Phaedra said. \u201cWe\u2019re in a different place.\u201d<\/p>\n

What caused the rift between Phaedra Parks and Angela Oakley?<\/p>\n

The drama between the ladies played out toward the end of RHOA Season 16, when Angela accused Phaedra of recruiting a man named Marcus to spread cheating rumors<\/a> about her husband, Charles Oakley<\/a>. Angela continued to push the allegation during the RHOA Season 16 reunion<\/a>, claiming Phaedra and Marcus had family connections in Athens, Georgia.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost, he told me it was Phaedra,\u201d Angela said in reference to Marcus. \u201cEverything you said about me was a lie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have not said anything about you, darling, because no one knew about you,\u201d Phaedra fired back.<\/p>\n

The women failed to resolve their rift at the reunion, even after\u00a0a few receipts were presented and a call was made to Phaedra\u2019s brother<\/a>; however, Angela suggested she was open to burying the hatchet someday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like there\u2019s still more issues that need to be ironed out,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I feel like we can move forward as a group.\u201d<\/p>\n

During her appearance at the Virtual Reali-Tea Awards, Phaedra shared her theory about why Angela targeted her with unfounded accusations.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think people sometimes come on the show and [they] just come for people at the top, you know?\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019m just being honest. The cream rises to the top, so you have to aim for the stars, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n
