Oliver Phelps is relishing the chance to play on the same course as the Ryder Cup stars just days before the tournament.<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, the Harry Potter star admits their is one potential blunder he is desperate to avoid.<\/p>\n

Phelps will be part of Team Europe for the Ryder Cup<\/a> Celebrity All-Star match at Bethpage Black next week.<\/p>\n

The tournament is scheduled to take place just two days before the start of the event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It will se him reunite with fellow actor and star of the beloved series Tom Felton, who portrayed the villainous Draco Malfoy.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Phelps starred alongside his twin brother James as George and Fred Weasley, respectively.<\/p>\n

He will trade his wand for a golf club in New York, though, after being invited to play in the star-studded event.<\/p>\n

A field of 16 celebrities will represent the USA and Europe, with the likes of two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning<\/a> and tennis legend John McEnroe<\/a> set to face off against Phelps and his team-mates.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old revealed all on talkSPORT, telling Drive: “I was out in Switzerland playing in the Omega (European Masters) tournament out there in Crans, Montana and playing in the Pro-Am.<\/p>\n

“On about the ninth or tenth hole, one of the organizers for the All-Star match pulled me aside and said, \u2018what are you doing towards the end of September? Do you fancy representing Europe in the All-Star match at the Ryder Cup?\u2019<\/p>\n

“It took me less than a second to say yes and clear any schedule I had coming up.”<\/p>\n

As for any potential nerves, he added: “No doubt I will be nervous when we’re on the first tee doing it.<\/p>\n

“But I was at the Mestalla in Valencia a couple of years ago and took a penalty at half time in front of 42,000 people and skied it.<\/p>\n

“Once you fail at that, nothing’s going to be as bad. The ground didn’t swallow me up, so it was okay.”<\/p>\n

The Celebrity All-Star match will follow a scramble format across 10 holes at the iconic Bethpage Black course in Farmingdale.<\/p>\n

Although Phelps is a keen golfer, he is already wary of the spectators lining up along the fairways.<\/p>\n

Revealing his expectations, he said: “You can hit a good shot, and then suddenly it goes to pieces, or it’s counted out.<\/p>\n

“You hit a really bad shot, and you think, \u2018oh, forget it, I’ll just play whatever\u2019, and you can end up shooting a really good score.<\/p>\n
