A man and woman have been arrested and charged following a disturbance which sparked an armed response on a Glasgow<\/a> street.<\/p>\n

Multiple police units raced to Ballantay Road in Castlemilk <\/a>at around 1.40pm on Friday.<\/p>\n

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and a 53-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eyewitnesses told how around half a dozen police vehicles descended on the street.<\/p>\n

Pictures from the scene show uniformed officers and specialist gun cops responding to the incident as the area was sealed off.<\/p>\n

Armed officers<\/a> were spotted in surrounding gardens.<\/p>\n

Other images show police tape stretched across the residential street<\/a> as horrified locals watched on.<\/p>\n

Police Scotland confirmed to the Record a 40-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.<\/a><\/p>\n

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal<\/a> while officers’ enquiries continue.<\/p>\n
