Prince Harry and Prince William may reconcile in the near future, according to a close confidant of the royals.<\/p>\n

The brothers have been estranged since the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their senior royal duties and released a tell-all interview in 2020 about mistreatment from the British Royal family.<\/p>\n

Alex Rayner, who has remained close with Prince Harry since 2012, told the Daily Mail<\/a>, \u201cAs soon as the opportunity presents itself, we\u2019ll see a wonderful embrace between the two brothers. Absolutely.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would hope [it will take place in the next few months]. Certainly, if not by the end of the year, then next. They\u2019ll hug in the not-too-distant future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Harry reunited with his father, King Charles III, for the first time<\/a> in over 19 months. The two enjoyed an hour-long meeting for \u201cprivate tea\u201d at Clarence House, the monarch\u2019s residence.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex\u2019s solo trip to visit the UK, without Meghan and their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, marked a huge step in the right direction for reconciliation between the royals. In 2023, Harry released his memoir, \u201cSpare,\u201d which put a strain on his relationship with King Charles, 76. Still, Rayner insists their bond is \u201cindestructible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA rift between father and son is never that big. A father\u2019s love for his son is pretty indestructible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

After the successful trip back home, Harry, who lives in California with his family, told The Guardian<\/a> newspaper, \u201cYes, I have enjoyed the week.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I have always loved the UK and I always will love the UK. It’s been good to reconnect with the causes I am passionate about. I have been able to spend some time with people that I have known for so long.
