{"id":4392,"date":"2025-04-07T12:18:12","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T12:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/4392\/"},"modified":"2025-04-07T12:18:12","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T12:18:12","slug":"how-to-play-google-searchs-new-secret-pokemon-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/4392\/","title":{"rendered":"How to play Google Search&#8217;s new secret Pok\u00e9mon game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<img fetchpriority=\"high\" width=\"646\" height=\"373\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SEI_246404325-5d41.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-22857143\" alt=\"Ash, Pikachu and Misty (background) in 4Kids Entertainment's animated adventure Pokemon3\" decoding=\"sync\"\/><br \/>\n\t\tGoogle has unveiled a new secret Pok\u00e9mon game for its fans (Picture: Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>As we get closer to <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/easter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Easter<\/a>, Google has decided to introduce a new secret <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/pokemon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pok\u00e9mon <\/a>game.<\/p>\n<p>To the surprise of its fans, the franchise has created a hidden browser game where you can search all 151 Pok\u00e9mon from the Kanton region in the search engine.<\/p>\n<p>Google revealed that searches for \u2018Pok\u00e9mon card\u2019 reached an all-time high in February.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, you can now try to capture them simply by searching names into Google\u2019s search bar.<\/p>\n<p>If you have successfully searched for one, you can then catch it by tapping the Pok\u00e9 Ball icon at the bottom right corner of the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Once the creature becomes locked in the ball, it becomes part of your virtual Pok\u00e9dex, which you can save your progress in your account.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"1073\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SEI_246401036-efa0-e1743868878105.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-22857115\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"\/><br \/>\n\t\tUsers can catch all 151 Pok\u00e9mon using Google Search<\/p>\n<p>For now, the Easter egg is only available on mobile devices, however, this may change in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Once you catch creatures, you then have to play a game of \u2018whose that Pok\u00e9mon?\u2019 to unlock their silhouettes.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Michelle Chou, entertainment product manager at Google, said: \u2018Keep testing your knowledge, and the superfans will be in for a surprise once they\u2019ve collected all of them.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Two weeks ago, it was revealed that a new line of Pok\u00e9mon-themed Lego sets have been announced.<\/p>\n<p><a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/lego\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lego<\/a> and <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/nintendo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nintendo<\/a>\u2019s first partnership was for the ongoing Super Mario line of Lego sets, which, rather than just being recreations of scenes from specific games, with ordinary brick-built minifigures, involve giant-sized Bluetooth figures and customisable courses.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SEI_246403980-c08f.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-22857134\" alt=\"TOKYO JAPAN - MAY 9, 2015: Pokemon Japanese animation.
