Manchester United fans snubbed Bruno Fernandes and were blown away by the exploits of one \u2018warrior\u2019 star against Chelsea in the 2-1 Premier League win.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea were reduced to 10 men against Manchester United<\/a> in only the fifth minute after Robert Sanchez received a straight red card for his tackle on Bryan Mbeumo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bryan Mbeumo was one-on-one against Robert Sanchez and the 27-year-old Spanish shot-stopper mistimed his challenge on the United<\/a> ace outside of the Chelsea box.<\/p>\n

Robert Sanchez\u2019s sending off at Old Trafford<\/a> allowed United to build momentum against Chelsea and Bruno Fernandes<\/a> opened the scoring in the 14th minute.<\/p>\n

Chelsea were outplayed in the first half at Old Trafford and Casemiro<\/a> was able to put United 2-0 up over the 10-man Blues in the 37th minute of the Premier League tie.<\/p>\n

Casemiro went from hero to zero in the first half on Saturday evening after the United midfielder was booked for the second time and was dismissed in injury time.<\/p>\n

Manchester United received a late scare against Chelsea<\/a> at Old Trafford after Trevoh Chalobah turned a powerful header into the bottom corner of the Red Devils\u2019 net.<\/p>\n

However, Trevoh Chalobah\u2019s effort in the 80th minute was not enough for Chelsea to rally back and find the all-important equaliser ahead of the full-time whistle.<\/p>\n

Despite Bruno Fernandes\u2019 superb showing for the Red Devils on Saturday evening, United fans<\/a> made sure that Matthijs de Ligt<\/a> received the praise that he deserved.<\/p>\n

A Red Devils supporter wrote: \u201cImmense from De Ligt again. The man is an absolute monster.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDe Ligt, what a warrior,\u201d another added.<\/p>\n

Someone else tweeted: \u201cDe Ligt really put blood on the line for this [match].<\/p>\n

Another United fan said: \u201cDe Ligt [has] been immense as was [Harry] Maguire when he was on.\u201d<\/p>\n

While a fifth X user claimed: \u201cDe Ligt is the best defender and player in Manchester United and possibly [in] the league.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDe Ligt has been a monster for United this season,\u201d somebody else suggested.<\/p>\n

And a seventh posted: \u201cDe Ligt has dealt with every pass in behind [so] well!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDe Ligt [is] our best defender; he\u2019s unreal,\u201d an eighth commented.<\/p>\n

Matthijs de Ligt once again showed his importance to Man Utd and Ruben Amorim after his performance vs Chelsea<\/p>\n

Matthijs de Ligt has been a key player for Ruben Amorim<\/a> and the 26-year-old Dutchman has been a reliable figure in the three-man backline of the tactical system.<\/p>\n

The former Juventus and Ajax star saw out the full 90 minutes against Chelsea and De Ligt was unfortunate not to walk away with a clean sheet to his name.<\/p>\n

While United were unable to keep a clean sheet against Chelsea, De Ligt was a standout performer and stepped up when the Red Devils were reduced to 10 men.<\/p>\n
