and it&#8217;s not a surprise<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><b>Get breaking news on <a href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/FJKVhwxllixI0DiCj9e2sk\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:BirminghamLive WhatsApp;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">BirminghamLive WhatsApp<\/a>, click the link to join<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The yellow weather alert is in place until 4am tomorrow morning on Sunday (September 21), lasting for 13 hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While the rain alert is in place until 3am tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Two yellow weather alerts have been issued for the West Midlands\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"810\" height=\"539\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/e997fc9c3ad0c95b9f24782e069cdd77.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Two yellow weather alerts have been issued for the West Midlands -Credit:Met Office<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It could see parts of the region hit with strong <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/all-about\/birmingham-weather\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:winds;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">winds <\/a>and heavy rain overnight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Met Office has warned of travel disruption on roads, objects being blown off buildings and the risk of flying debris, and power cuts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A Met Office spokesperson said: &#8220;A developing area of low pressure may produce a short spell of very strong <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/all-about\/birmingham-weather\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:winds;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">winds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Winds will initially strengthen across some western and southwestern areas, before migrating north-eastwards, clearing into the North Sea during the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Whilst not everywhere in the warning is expected to experience very strong <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/all-about\/birmingham-weather\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:winds;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">winds<\/a>, some inland locations may see gusts of 50-60 mph whilst gusts of 65-75 mph are possible around some coasts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;The strongest winds are more likely around Bristol Channel and the west Wales coast on Saturday afternoon and early evening, then along the North Sea coast of east and northeast England overnight into early Sunday morning.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Met Office has issued two separate Met Office yellow weather warnings for the West Midlands region.
