On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist, was shot and killed while giving a speech at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Soon after the news broke, Chelsea Wolfe, who was an alternate rider for Team USA at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, shared several Instagram stories. One post showed a USA Today headline on Kirk’s death with a cartoon image of Dora the Explorer and the words, “We did it!” She also shared a selfie giving a thumbs up and called Kirk a “Nazi.”

Team USA cyclist Chelsea Wolfe faces backlash over posts on Charlie Kirk’s death

Chelsea Wolfe’s reaction shocked many across the country.
