Prince Harry and Meghan Markle<\/a> believe the British royal family took a \u201cdig\u201d at them during Donald Trump\u2019s state visit to the UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last week, the U.S. president and the First Lady Melania Trump<\/a> spent a few days staying at Windsor Castle after being invited by King Charles III and Queen Camila.<\/p>\n

During their visit, the Prince and Princess of Wales also met with the President and his wife, despite the busy couple keeping their distance when Harry met with his father<\/a> just days before.<\/p>\n

Along with the reigning couple, the two attended the Windsor Castle State Banquet, where Trump reportedly made a speech thanking his hosts for their hospitality.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the president showered the royals with praises. He took a moment to specifically commend Prince William for being a \u201cremarkable son\u201d and expressed his belief that the heir will achieve \u201cincredible success in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Donald\u2019s statement drew attention from many, who noted that he made no mention of Charles\u2019s other son in his remarks. According to Rob Shuter<\/a>, the Sussexes were also taken back by the comments, however, they were reportedly more focused on the royal\u2019s reaction.<\/p>\n

Their feud has only escalated since then with Donald previously calling Harry \u201cwhipped\u201d and stating he is \u201cnot a fan\u201d of Meghan\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Before he was re-elected, the businessman threatened to deport the Duke if he returned to the Oval Office.<\/p>\n

In February of 2024, the former president spoke exclusively to the Daily Express US at the CPAC conference in Washington, D.C. During the interview, he admitted, \u201cI wouldn\u2019t protect him. He betrayed the Queen [Elizabeth II]<\/a>. That\u2019s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
