Luciano Becchio is a former RCD Mallorca\u00a0and Leeds United player and Mateo Joseph is a current Mallorca and Leeds player.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spaniard has since left Leeds United<\/a> on loan, with the club Luciano Becchio started at in Europe after moving from Argentina. Joseph left despite Leeds\u2019 intent to retain him<\/a> initially.<\/p>\n

However, that changed at the start of pre-season when Daniel\u00a0Farke explained Joseph had chosen not to be involved<\/a>. Later on in the summer, Farke confirmed Joseph was not in his plans<\/a>\u00a0still following the Villarreal pre-season draw.<\/p>\n

It was then reported that\u00a0Betis wanted a loan for Joseph<\/a> and also that Celta Vigo joined the Joseph race<\/a> but he ended up heading elsewhere in Spain.<\/p>\n

The La Liga duo appeared to be the likeliest destinations for Joseph, be that on loan or permanently. \u00a0Graham Smyth said a loan for Joseph was most likely<\/a>\u00a0to be what materialised and it did.<\/p>\n

Of course, Joseph\u2019s sale could help Leeds\u2019 PSR<\/a>\u00a0situation immeasurably in the future, but it can be as late as next year instead. In the end, a loan may well suit the Whites after Leeds were only willing to sell Joseph for their asking price<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has yet to score for his new side but Joseph has taken part in some huge games already due to a less than favourable fixture schedule. Mallorca face Atletico Madrid tomorrow, having already played both Barcelona and Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the game tomorrow afternoon at home to Atleti, Becchio went and paid a visit to the club\u2019s training ground and he has been seen pictured with Joseph on Becchio\u2019s Instagram<\/a> story.<\/p>\n

Becchio met Jonny Howson and Jermaine Beckford<\/a> recently at Leeds\u2019 training ground, but he seems to be touring around former sides in Europe. The caption reads: \u201cWhat a man Mateo Joseph I wish you all the best \ud83d\udcaa\ud83c\udffb\u201d<\/p>\n

Considering Joseph\u2019s hard start in La Liga<\/a> with Espanyol, he has taken to life well enough in Spain. However, the likelihood of a return to West Yorkshire will remain the question for the remainder of the campaign. <\/p>\n

Speaking to Spanish media,\u00a0Leeds\u2019 Joseph said he prefers life in Spain<\/a>: \u201cNot the same. There aren\u2019t as many things to do, but I knew it was the place I needed to be. It\u2019s not the prettiest place, but it\u2019s cozy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joseph admitted he could play for Leeds again<\/a> in another interview but there is not likely to be a Willy\u00a0Gnonto-like revival of Joseph\u2019s Leeds career<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When you factor in the manner of his exit and refusing to go to Germany with the squad, bridges seem to have been burned. Becchio\u2019s post won\u2019t change that.<\/p>\n
