Popping the question is a pretty big deal. And we hate to make it even more stressful, but as much as your partner\u00a0may love you, where you choose to get down on one knee could well be the difference between a \u2018yes\u2019 and a \u2018no\u2019. So pick wisely \u2013 are they more of a grand, elaborate public gesture kind of person, or\u00a0would they prefer a more private, low-key declaration of love?\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re struggling for ideas, bridal brand A Diamond Is Forever<\/a> has\u00a0revealed its pick of the 30 best places in the world to pop the question. Its list features sites of natural beauty like the Fairy Chimneys in T\u00fcrkiye<\/a>, Niagara Falls<\/a> and the Marble Caves in Chile, as well as man made structures like New York<\/a>\u2019s Belvedere Castle and\u00a0Scotland<\/a>\u2019s Eiliean Donan Castle<\/a>. And there\u2019s one London landmark that made the cut, too.<\/p>\n

The London Eye<\/strong><\/a> is one of the world\u2019s greatest places to propose, apparently. The big wheel came 25th on the ranking, with high scores for its accessibility, noise level and \u2018Instagrammability\u2019, and a perfect 10 out of 10 for safety.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you want to propose at the London Eye, you don\u2019t have to do it in a pod full of random tourists. The attraction offers\u00a0three proposal packages \u2013 a \u2018musical proposal\u2019 in which musicians disguised as tourists\u00a0start to play before you pop the question, a \u2018sign proposal\u2019\u00a0where performers (also hidden as tourists)\u00a0reveal \u2018Will You Marry Me?\u2019 signs, or a bespoke proposal, in which you\u00a0can design the whole thing yourself.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, those packages\u00a0sit at a pretty penny (upwards of \u00a31,600), which is why A Diamond is Forever\u2019s ranking gave\u00a0the Eye a measly score of one for cost of entry. It also didn\u2019t do so well when it came to amenities, \u2018surprise factor\u2019 and exclusivity \u2013 you may get a pod to yourself, but there\u2019s no avoiding the fact that it\u2019s one of the most popular, and busiest, tourist attractions in the city. And if it\u2019s originality you\u2019re after, you may want to look elsewhere \u2013\u00a0as\u00a0of March this year,\u00a0the\u00a0Eye has hosted 6,000 proposals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
