A child has been taken to hospital following a crash involving a car in north Belfast.<\/p>\n

The crash happened in the Flax Street area of the city during Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed they sent a rapid response paramedic to the scene and said the child was then taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast for Sick Children.<\/p>\n

A NIAS spokesperson said: \u201cThe Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 11:44 on Wednesday 23rd April, following reports of an incident on the Flax Street area, Belfast.<\/p>\n

\u201cNIAS despatched 1 Rapid Response Paramedic to the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne person was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast for Sick Children, by RRV [Rapid Response Vehicle].\u201d<\/p>\n

A PSNI spokesperson said: \u201cPolice attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving a car and pedestrian in the Flax Street area of north Belfast. One person was taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries.<\/p>\n
