Police have issued an update on the victims of a nightclub shooting in Birmingham<\/a> city centre and the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

Four people suffered injuries following a shooting at Mango nightclub in Bristol Street at around 3am yesterday, Saturday September 20.<\/p>\n

A man was left in a critical condition in hospital, while three other people – two men and a woman – sustained injuries that were less serious.<\/p>\n

In an update issued today (September 21), West Midlands Police<\/a> said that one of the men is now in a stable condition in hospital.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, two other men are also undergoing treatment for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n

The woman, who was initially believed to have suffered a gunshot injury, is now thought to have sustained her injury when she fell during the disturbance.<\/p>\n

She has since been discharged from hospital.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man and three women aged in their 20s and 30s, who were arrested yesterday following the shooting, have since been released on bail while enquiries continue.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> said Mango nightclub remains closed today (September 21), with officers continuing to review CCTV and gather evidence.<\/p>\n

Det Insp Racheal Allen, from the major crime unit, said: “We are building a clearer picture of what happened in the nightclub, and are working flat out to ensure we identify everyone who was involved.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s still really important that we hear from anyone who was inside the venue, or who may have taken any pictures or video.”<\/p>\n
