Turkey is battling multiple fire emergencies as a major wildfire continues to rage through Antalya’s tourist districts, prompting mass evacuations from hotels in the popular holiday destination.<\/p>\n

The blaze, which ignited on Saturday evening in the Kundu district, has spread rapidly through forested areas near Belek, threatening resort properties along the coast. <\/p>\n

Emergency services have deployed an extensive firefighting operation involving more than 800 personnel, supported by 14 aircraft and 20 helicopters. <\/p>\n

Strong winds have hampered containment efforts, pushing the flames into neighbouring provinces of Mugla and Aydin, whilst forcing authorities to close a major coastal road.<\/p>\n

Dramatic footage captured flames consuming what appeared to be a riverside resort in Belek, with burning trees visible as horrified residents documented the unfolding disaster. <\/p>\n

The inferno originated in Kundu’s forested zones where numerous tourist accommodations are situated, according to Turkish media outlets.<\/p>\n

Authorities ordered evacuations from central Antalya and the Aksu district as flames advanced towards residential areas.<\/p>\n
