Manchester United prospect Harry Amass is making a positive impression on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A week ago Harry Amass<\/a> made his Sheffield Wednesday debut, and it got off to an unfortunate start when he deflected a shot into his own goal after just six minutes.<\/p>\n

He did not complete his debut against Bristol City, sustaining a little knock, but Owls boss Henrik Pedersen said he was pleased with the Manchester United loanee\u2019s performance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pedersen backed up his words with his actions, he selected Amass as a starter against Portsmouth, and he was repaid with a superb display.<\/p>\n

Amass played 90 minutes in a 2-0 away win for the Owls, their first Championship victory of the season.<\/p>\n

And as a result, fans have quickly taken to the Manchester United loanee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One wrote on X: \u201cAmass is some player,\u201d with another adding: \u201cWhat a lad Amass is.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third fan wrote: \u201cThank you so much for Harry Amass @ManUtd.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another supporter also noted: \u201cCan see why Amass is at Man Utd.\u201d<\/p>\n

And another Owls fan posted: \u201cHow good is that Amass btw? Looks like he\u2019s played pro football for a decade.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was heavy competition for Amass\u2019 signature<\/a> this summer, and this promising start shows why.<\/p>\n

Harry Amass numbers for Sheffield Wednesday vs Portsmouth<\/p>\n

Amass, 18, managed 57 touches in total from the left wing-back position, with Sheffield Wednesday playing with a back three.<\/p>\n

He created one goalscoring chance, and was prolific in terms of his defensive contributions.<\/p>\n

Amass made 11 ball recoveries, 8 clearances, 5 interceptions, 1 tackle and 1 block, while winning 8 duels in total.<\/p>\n

The Championship can be a tough league for young players to adapt to, but Amass showed the level of grit required to become a major hit.<\/p>\n
