Kiwi Liam Lawson has notched up his best result in the 2025 Formula 1 season so far, finishing fifth in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

Lawson started third on the Baku City Circuit, but fell several positions after pitting early, although he held off several contenders for his place in the final laps.<\/p>\n

Lawson, 23, clocked the third-fastest time of Q3<\/a>, covering the 6km circuit in 1m 41.707s.<\/p>\n

Reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen won the race, leading from start to finish. George Russell took second place, with Carlos Sainz rounding out the top three.<\/p>\n
