A Dragons\u2019 Den<\/a> star has created a \u00a336million business from his initial investment on the BBC show.<\/p>\n Sam Jones appeared on the programme in 2021 to present his data control company Gener8, which he founded in 2018.<\/p>\n Asking for \u00a360,000 in exchange for 10 per cent of the company, the entrepreneur managed to impress Tej Lalvani, 51, Touker Suleyman, 72, Peter Jones, 59, and Deborah Meaden, 66.<\/p>\n After receiving several offers, Sam decided to choose Touker and Peter as his new partners.<\/p>\n Now four years later, his company has grown by more than 500%.<\/p>\n Speaking to the Daily Mail,<\/a> he explained how Tej also became an investor in his company after the show.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t He revealed: \u2018Tej said, \u201cSam I watched the pitch again last night, I know you didn\u2019t choose me but I cannot miss this deal. Please, can I invest? I want to put \u00a3300,000 in, can I come on this journey?\u201d<\/p>\n \u2018So then Tej came in as an investor even though he wasn\u2019t chosen in the Den.<\/p>\n \u2018And then we had people like Harry Redknapp<\/a>, Tinie Tempah<\/a>, and Chris Gayle involved.\u2019<\/p>\n Discussing the success his company has become today, he added: \u2018Our revenue this year has grown by more than 500% and we\u2019re on track to build a really, really exciting company that empowers people to earn and control from their own data.<\/p>\n \u2018The aim is to shoot for the stars and become a tech unicorn.\u2019<\/p>\n The thought process behind his company was to help people gain \u2018more control over their data, or the ability to get something back from it\u2019.<\/p>\n Today, it boasts more than 20,000 followers on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t However, Sam\u2019s success story certainly isn\u2019t the first on Dragons\u2019 Den after two other participants on the show revealed how their business was branded \u2018delusional\u2019 and a \u2018disaster\u2019 but is now worth \u00a340million<\/a>.<\/p>\n The creative duo behind Pasta Evangelists, Alessandro Savelli and Finn Lagun, stepped into the\u00a0BBC<\/a>\u00a0lair in 2018 only to come away empty-handed.<\/p>\n The Pasta Evangelists CEO and his business partner asked for a \u00a375,000 investment, in exchange for a 2.5% cut of the company.<\/p>\n But Jenny Campbell called the business \u2018delusional\u2019 and \u2018a disaster\u2019.
