Please, can I invest? I want to put \u00a3300,000 in, can I come on this journey?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So then Tej came in as an investor even though he wasn\u2019t chosen in the Den.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And then we had people like <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/harry-redknapp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harry Redknapp<\/a>, <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/tinie-tempah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tinie Tempah<\/a>, and Chris Gayle involved.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Discussing the success his company has become today, he added: \u2018Our revenue this year has grown by more than 500% and we\u2019re on track to build a really, really exciting company that empowers people to earn and control from their own data.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The aim is to shoot for the stars and become a tech unicorn.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The thought process behind his company was to help people gain \u2018more control over their data, or the ability to get something back from it\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Today, it boasts more than 20,000 followers on <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/instagram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"319\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/SEI_266484056-3e06.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-24224571\" alt=\"A Dragons? The entrepreneur previously worked at Red Bull, where he realised there was a ?crazy open secret within the entire advertising industry? that led to his business.\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"\/><br \/>\n\t\tSeveral of the Dragons were keen to invest in Sam\u2019s data control company (Picture: BBC)<\/p>\n<p>However, Sam\u2019s success story certainly isn\u2019t the first on Dragons\u2019 Den after two other participants on the show revealed how their business was branded \u2018delusional\u2019 and a \u2018disaster\u2019 <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/08\/25\/dragons-den-entrepreneurs-branded-delusional-now-investing-30-000-000-booming-business-23994647\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">but is now worth \u00a340million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The creative duo behind Pasta Evangelists, Alessandro Savelli and Finn Lagun, stepped into the\u00a0<a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/bbc-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a>\u00a0lair in 2018 only to come away empty-handed.<\/p>\n<p>The Pasta Evangelists CEO and his business partner asked for a \u00a375,000 investment, in exchange for a 2.5% cut of the company.<\/p>\n<p>But Jenny Campbell called the business \u2018delusional\u2019 and \u2018a disaster\u2019.
