DET to hold regas capacity auction in October"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The state-owned LNG terminal operator announced the upcoming auction for short-term regasification capacities for 2026 at its Brunsb\u00fcttel terminal in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>According to DET, the auction will take place on October 23rd, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>DET will offer terminal capacities for LNG storage, regasification, and sendout to the grid for the period January 2nd \u2013 May 26th, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe capacity for the remainder of the year will be offered at a later stage for which a DET announcement will be made in due course,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>DET recently <a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/europe\/det-fsru-hoegh-gannet-to-get-upgrades-at-danish-yard\/163515\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that the 170,000-cbm FSRU Hoegh Gannet, which serves the Elbehafen LNG import terminal in Germany\u2019s Brunsb\u00fcttel, will be relocated to the Danish Fayard shipyard from September 18 until the middle of November.<\/p>\n<p>Hoegh Gannet is currently working at the Brunsb\u00fcttel Port\u2019s existing dangerous goods berth in Brunsb\u00fcttel\u2019s Elbehafen port, while a new jetty is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/europe\/det-work-starts-on-new-brunsbuttel-lng-jetty\/109567\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">being built<\/a>\u00a0to the west of this location.<\/p>\n<p>DET said that H\u00f6egh Gannet will resume operations in Brunsb\u00fcttel in mid-November, in \u201cgood time before winter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, the FSRU has so far been able to feed around 19 terawatt hours of energy in the form of natural gas into the German gas grid.<\/p>\n<p>According to DET, this corresponds to the annual natural gas consumption for heating almost 1.4 million four-person households in 100-square-meter apartments in multi-family<br \/>buildings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In August, DET also <a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/europe\/germanys-det-launches-commercial-ops-at-second-wilhelmshaven-fsru\/161623\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launched<\/a> commercial operations at its second FSRU-based terminal in Wilhelmshaven.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the 2024-built 174,000-cbm Energy Endurance\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/europe\/dets-second-wilhelmshaven-fsru-gets-commissioning-lng-cargo\/152443\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delivered\u00a0<\/a>the commissioning cargo to Excelerate\u2019s 138,000-cbm FSRU Excelsior in Wilhelmshaven from Venture Global LNG\u2019s Plaquemines LNG export plant in Louisiana.<\/p>\n<p>The chartered FSRU is located two kilometers south of the already operational Wilhelmshaven 1 terminal. <\/p>\n<p>It is moored at an island jetty, completed last year, and located about 1.5 km from the
