During Recycle Week, Aldi is calling on children in Edinburgh and the Lothians to design a poster inspiring people to recycle.<\/p>\n

The supermarket invited children aged 5\u201314 to submit their designs which could then be displayed on Aldi\u2019s digital screens in stores nationwide.<\/p>\n

Three winning designs \u2013 one from England, one from Scotland and one from Wales \u2013 will be chosen by a panel of Aldi\u2019s sustainability experts and displayed in their local store.<\/p>\n

The competition is part of Aldi\u2019s ongoing drive to support sustainable shopping behaviours, including reducing single-use plastic and increasing recycled content in packaging.<\/p>\n

Luke Emery, National Sustainability Director at Aldi, said: \u201cAt Aldi, we are always looking for ways to reduce waste and make recycling easier for customers. This competition is a fun way to spark children\u2019s imagination and show that small actions can have a big impact.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecycling is something we can all do, but sometimes it takes a spark of creativity to bring the message to life. By asking children to share their own ideas and artwork, we hope to inspire families and communities to think differently about the choices they make every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Entries open today 22 September and close on Friday 31st October 2025. Parents and teachers can submit a copy of children\u2019s designs on A4 paper, alongside the name and age of the entrant, via email to [email\u00a0protected]<\/a>.<\/p>\n
