Presenter Dan Walker and Ryder Cup winner Danny Willett have helped raise an incredible \u00a380,000 at Sheffield Children\u2019s Hospital Charity\u2019s annual Dan Walker v Danny Willett Golf Day.<\/p>\n
The pair hosted the event for the third consecutive year, bringing together teams of supporters and celebrities for a day of golf, fundraising and entertainment.<\/p>\n
The money raised will go towards the charity\u2019s Bright Young Dreams campaign, which is transforming children\u2019s mental health services.<\/p>\n
The day saw famous faces including Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, who is a charity patron, take part, as well as Oliver Phelps of Harry Potter fame, former Westlife star Brian McFadden, singer and reality star Wes Nelson, and Jamie Christian-Johal, better known as Giant from Gladiators. <\/p>\n
Dan Walker said: \u201cIt was another incredible day. Thank you to everyone who came, supported, donated, played, volunteered and helped to make it so special. <\/p>\n
“I\u2019m blown away by the amount of money we have raised, and I know that is going to make a huge difference to young people through Bright Young Dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n
Danny Willett added: \u201cIt was a great day with friends from across the UK! We\u2019re beyond grateful to each and every person who attended. <\/p>\n
“To have raised more than \u00a380k for such an important cause is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

John Armstrong, chief executive at Sheffield Children\u2019s Hospital Charity, said: \u201cWe\u2019re so grateful to Dan and Danny for hosting this golf day for the third consecutive year, helping to raise money for Sheffield Children\u2019s Hospital Charity. <\/p>\n
“I\u2019d like to say a special thanks to the over 100 golfers who attended the event, generously helping us to raise funds to support children\u2019s mental health services.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event was supported by Rotherham Golf Club, Veezu and Sheffield Children\u2019s Hospital Charity volunteers, as well as headline sponsors HSBC, who brought the Claret Jug along to the event.<\/p>\n
Other sponsors included Soloco, Euronics, Gemini AI Chromebook, G&A Fire Protection, Global Windows, Pioneer Construction and Gekko.<\/p>\n
Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity also thanked photographers and videographers Andy Chubb and Stuart Turner from LensGo Visual Media for their support.<\/p>\n
The charity is hugely grateful to everyone who helped to make this year\u2019s event such a remarkable success.<\/p>\n
