West Ham are considering a move for a manager labelled \u201cDavid Moyes 2.0\u201d if they sack Graham Potter, according to their former senior scout.<\/strong><\/p>\n Mick Brown<\/a>, who also worked as the chief scout at Man United and Sunderland and remains very well-connected at his former clubs, exclusively told Football Insider<\/strong> that Sean Dyche<\/a> has emerged as a contender to take over in East London.<\/p>\n Since leaving Everton<\/a> in January, the boss has been linked with returns to football with the likes of Rangers and Leicester, but has yet to land a new role.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, West Ham fans have called for Potter to be sacked<\/a> following their 2-1 defeat to\u00a0Crystal Palace<\/a>\u00a0at the London Stadium on 20 September.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0revealed on 19 September that\u00a0Potter is four games away from being dismissed<\/a>, with one of those games already having ended in defeat.<\/p>\n Brown told Football Insider<\/strong> on 18 September that\u00a0West Ham could be forced to sack Potter<\/a>\u00a0as a result of the ongoing fan protests against the board.<\/p>\n The former scout, who has a wealth of experience working closely with elite-level managers including the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Ron Atkinson at Man United, has insisted Dyche would be open to the idea of a return to Premier League football.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n \u201cSean Dyche is an option for West Ham, of course,\u201d he told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s been out of work and I think it\u2019s an opportunity that would interest him, to come back into the Premier League and get the best out of this team.<\/p>\n \u201cIt would be a bit like Moyes 2.0 really, with the type of manager he is.<\/p>\n \u201cWhether that would be an issue for them or for the fans given the way Moyesey was pushed out, that\u2019s up to them to make that decision.<\/p>\n \u201cThey had this idea about playing pretty football and all of that sort of thing, but it hasn\u2019t worked under Potter so they might have to think differently.<\/p>\n \u201cBut I think the issue at West Ham is when things start going wrong, everybody points the finger at the manager so he takes all the blame.<\/p>\n \u201cThat wouldn\u2019t be any different under Dyche, but the board will have to make that call.\u201d<\/p>\n Dyche is one of a number of managers on the Hammers\u2019 radar, but could be somebody they turn to if they feel a more pragmatic approach is necessary.<\/p>\n West Ham line up three alternatives to replace Graham Potter<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0exclusively revealed on 28 August that\u00a0West Ham are exploring alternatives to Potter<\/a>\u00a0as they pave the way for his potential dismissal.<\/p>\n Work has been ongoing behind the scenes despite their desire to stick with the current boss, amid a growing feeling that his position is becoming untenable.<\/p>\n The likes of Nuno Espirito Santo<\/a>, Kieran McKenna<\/a> and Gary O\u2019Neil<\/a> have also been linked with the job, with bosses already sounded out by chairman David Sullivan.<\/p>\n Frank Lampard had also been considered for the role, but Football Insider<\/strong> revealed that West Ham are unlikely to hire Lampard<\/a> given the ongoing fan frustrations.<\/p>\n After protests during the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace, West Ham fans are planning to boycott their clash with Brentford<\/a>\u00a0on 20 October in protest towards the board.<\/p>\n For more West Ham
