Brexit dividend\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The Prudential Regulation Authority has today launched a one-month consultation proposing to delete \u201c37 individual reporting templates\u201d for banks, which it says represents \u201can initial set of targeted deletions of whole reporting templates that were inherited from European Union regulations.\u201d It adds:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe PRA has decided that these templates cover data which are either no longer necessary to support its work or are already available elsewhere. Their removal should benefit firms by reducing their administrative costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Paperwork duplication is rife in EU regulations. The PRA wants to scrap the red tape on 1 January 2026 and estimates the move would save the banking industry \u201can estimated \u00a326 million\u201d every year.
