It should surprise no one that with the global phenomenon that KPop Demon Hunters has become, a lot of people are going to want to dress up as the characters for Halloween, just over a month away.<\/p>\n
Well, good news, but you may have to act fast soon enough. Good old empty store occupier Spirit Halloween<\/a> has just revealed its Netflix-official KPop Demon Hunters Halloween costumes for Rumi, Mira and Zoey, as seen above. (Disclaimer: I am not endorsing a purchase here at all; I\u2019m just showing that these exist). Here are the photos that Spirit Halloween just sent out:<\/p>\n Rumi Halloween Costume<\/strong><\/p>\n Mira Halloween Costume<\/strong><\/p>\n Zoey Halloween Costume<\/strong><\/p>\n Kids costumes are $60, out in early October and adults are $70, out later this month. No actual dates. A Rumi wig is $27<\/p>\n KPop Demon Hunters has quickly become Netflix\u2019s most popular movie in history<\/a>, racking up over 300 million views in 90 days to pass up Red Notice, the former #1 at 230 million, it\u2019s not even close. The most recent report is that Netflix may be gearing up to release a KPop Demon Hunters short film, possibly a sequel, according to MPA ratings listings, though that has not been confirmed by Netflix yet. <\/p>\n The larger-scale next steps are obviously a sequel, and while there\u2019s been forward-facing talk about that, negotiations are still happening between Sony, Netflix and the directors on some level. No official announcements there either.<\/p>\n Netflix reportedly views KPop Demon Hunters as a potential Frozen-level franchise for them, and part of expanding that it is obviously rushing out an official partnership for a Halloween costume, meant to further the reach of the IP. It\u2019s not exactly a stretch to imagine a whole lot of people are going to want to pick these up, but I would absolutely worry about supply due to how popular the movie is.<\/p>\n KPop Demon Hunters<\/p>\n Netflix<\/p>\n It\u2019s a bit of a bummer there isn\u2019t a Jinu costume, as I would absolutely be into that, particularly his demon form. But that would also require a lot of makeup skill I don\u2019t have. The Rumi costume does not show off her demon arm. The outfits are the ones most worn in the film, though they went through many outfit changes over the course of the feature. These aren\u2019t exactly cosplay quality, of course.<\/p>\n As it stands, KPop Demon Hunters is likely a frontrunner for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars this year, and probably Best Original Song for Golden, which has broken records across a number of music charts since its release. KPop Demon Hunters remains in Netflix\u2019s top 10 list at #3, almost never falling out of that since its release three months ago.
